Blender is a open source free tool originally intended for creating and animating 3d objects. Currently, blender supports surface mesh editing, modeling, rigging, rendering, animation, shading, texture mapping, particle physics, fluid physics, soft body physics, rigid body physics, composting, and real time 3d game creation.

Third party documentation[edit]

Blender has a very large user and developer community. There is a very large amount of documentation on third party websites, in youtube, etc. Careful selection of keywords in addition to "blender" often can give good results in google.
